We all knew what Facebook did about two months ago (felt like a long time ago though). I was just about to try my hands on the Facebook fan pages to help boost the online traffic for a few things I am working on. Then came the changes to the news feed algorithm. I for one am not fond of being forced to buy ads to boost online traffic (this sounds so artificial), so I decided to wait for alternative social media marketing solution(s).
Then came this article (I should have posted this piece earlier if it was not for my procrastinating self): While Everyone Else Whines, This Guy Makes His Whole Living Off Facebook Traffic
Looks like there is still hope for the Facebook fan page administrators! It turns out that there is actually a right way of doing fan pages which does not require paying for the online traffic. At least the guy in the article is still having tons of fun with his online traffic despite the algorithm change. It is actually not as hard as I imagined. In summary, content is king, or perhaps I should rephrase, better content is king! So stop blaming Facebook and start reading the article yourself to find out how to make better content available for your fan pages!
[Startup] My web startup, BizAbroad Xpress (Facebook fan page) has just launched its beta not long ago (okay, this one did have some coding done to it, but relatively minimal). It is a self-help service that changes the way people set up their business entities abroad (such as incorporating a company in Taiwan or Samoa). Absolutely no email or telephone call necessary. The first country to open for service will be Taiwan, to be followed by other countries one by one, including those among the tax havens. Tell your friends about this service and email me at email@example.com if you have any question.
