We all wonder what it takes for VCs to become interested in investing a million dollar in our startups. A fantastic product? Doubt it. An all-star team? May be. Proven traction? Bingo! VCs are scientific animals after all. The only way they can give you the figure you wanted is for you to give them the figures they wanted.
So if metrics are what they are after, is there any rule of thumb? Well, we all can appreciate it is difficult to get a precise figure for each startup, but someone has come up with some ballpark metrics that startups should aim for before trying to seal any deal with the VCs:
